SMARTS 2nd Annual Arts of the Community Exhibition

Opening Reception
Friday, March 18th from 7pm -10pm


Please join us for the opening of THE ARTS OF THE COMMUNITY at Intermedia Arts. THE ARTS OF THE COMMUNITY features the work of artists living and working in South Minneapolis.

Artists include Barbara Lea, Bouky Labhard, Christopher Anderson, Donna Dralle, Eddie Hamilton, Eyenga Bokamba, Iggy Beerbower, Jane Powers, Jeanne McGee, Jenny Jenkins, Kat Corrigan, Kate Van Cleve, Katie Sherman, Leann Johnson, Lisa Petersson, Megan Moore, Nicole Houff, Pamela Gaard, Robyn Hendrix, Steve Brooks, Maghan Rangitsch, Marcos Montano, Steven Berg, Jessie France, Jeremy Smith and Stephanie Aichinger.


Aldrich Arts AFFORDABLE ART CLASSES FOR KIDS begin Wednesday January 26th

Classes offered:
Comic Book Creation: Have you ever wanted to draw your own comic book? Then this is the class for you! Grades 3 & up. Taught by Janelle Doyle.

Found Object Art: Did you know that “trash” can be remade into art? Turn broken utensils, duct tape,or any “found objects” in amazing new creations! All ages. Taught by Lindsey Rude.

Classes run Wednesdays after school, 4:30 – 6:00 p.m.
January 26th – February 23rd (Final class is Gallery Exhibition Opening)

Artwork from classes will be included in the GALLERY EXHIBITION OPENING (final class) on Wednesday, February 23rd, 5:00 – 7:00pm.


Aldrich Arts Collaborative Film Nights

Aldrich Arts Collaborative, in partnership with Aldrich Church, will begin hosting monthly FILM NIGHTS, showcasing top films and directors from around the world. FILM NIGHTS are free, accompanied by light refreshments, and followed by informal discussion.
